BeBe Vox...
...the girl from Swansea with huge hair and a phenomenal voice, has always wanted to sing and dance and has early memories of telling her older sister that she wanted to be a singer and forcing her brother to practice dance routines with her.
At school, she focused more on her athletics and netball but also sailed through her GCSE’s and her A Levels. She continued on to university where she studied graphic design, but her underlying passion was always to perform. She would sing wherever she could - in the shower, at the youth club and at her church where she found her faith as Christian. Her dad convinced of her natural ability and encouraged her to get some singing lessons.
“My teacher suggested I sing opera because he thought I had the lungs for it. I was grateful for the compliment, but opera was not really something I wanted to pursue. My love for pop music was far too strong.”
Having gained a first class honours degree in graphic design, she started working for a graphics company and she knew that if she wasn’t careful, this could easily turn into her career.
However, in 2007 her boyfriend got her to enter a national singing competition which she won and was spotted by an independent label in Manchester called Movation. Since signing to them she has developed as an artist largely through performing in nearly 100 schools in addition to loads of churches and over 30,000 people at festivals.
Her single reached “All This Time” (feat. Ad-apt) reached the top 20 in the Radio 1 Dance Chart and great things are expected for her next release.
